Manchester City have seen plenty of transfer interest in Ederson this summer as they prepare for the new campaign
If a player wants to leave, they can. They just have to bring the right offer to the club and that will be accepted; Leroy Sane, Ferran Torres, and Sergio Gomez are just some of the players who have done this.
Ederson has had strong interest from the Saudi Pro League in the transfer market. Al-Ittihad were very keen on the 30-year-old goalkeeper, then Al-Nassr had a £25m offer rejected by the Blues, and now reportedly Al-Ittihad are ready to enter the bidding process.ALSO READ: Man City tour squad revealed as trialist joins Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish
It happened two years ago with Nathan Ake as early as July, and towards the end of that summer with Bernardo Silva, when interested clubs were told that the unofficial window had closed because of the unsolvable problems it would cause to the squad. If City can't recover from the sale in time, the sale can't happen.
However, City have been clear since Ortega's 'title-winning' save at Tottenham that Ederson remains No.1 and plans for the season are with their long-serving stopper in the XI. However strong Ortega would be, it would be problematic for the Blues to lose Ederson.
