Manchester City have denied any wrongdoing after being charged by the Premier League for 115 financial breaches
Leading sports lawyer Nick de Marco KC believes sport tribunals should be held in the public domain to squash any suspicions over decisions made. Liverpool's rivals were charged by the Premier League for 115 financial breaches a little under two years ago. The Etihad clubs have always vehemently denied the accusations and have expressed their intent to fight against the charges brought upon them by the English top-flight governing body.
While throughout the whole process, from back when the initial charges came to light right through to the complex events of the present day, a veil has kept much of the information involved from the general public. But De Marco, writing in Blackstone Chambers’ sports law bulletin via The Times , believes that should change.
