Manchester City are set to treble the wages of one of their brightest talents when they hand him a new contract.to join Chelsea for a fee of £42.5 million despite his goals in the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup.That's because they have a starlet in the ranks who they believe is even more talented and a new deal is on the table for him.
Oscar Bobb joined City in 2019 from Valerenga and went on to be crowned the club's Under-23 Player of the Year in consecutive seasons. He has been promoted to the first-team this season and has made five appearances, including a first start against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup.Although City were beaten, Bobb made a huge impression and Pep Guardiola said"he was more than brilliant in all parts, offence and defence".Bobb still has two years on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium but City want to reward him for his recent performances.The 18-year-old will be given a monumental wage increase as a result.
Bobb received a first call-up to the Norway senior side this month and made his debut in a 4-0 win against Cyprus alongside club and international teammate Erling Haaland.
