There was an unlikely Manchester City player in England first-team training this afternoon, as uncapped defender Kian Noble joined Gareth Southgate's squad.
Three Manchester City players were left out of the England squad this week, but there was an extra face from the club in Gareth Southgate's training group on Wednesday.
With Harry Kane, Jordan Henderson, Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer all training individually, Southgate called up Noble, who has captained the Young Lions up to under-17 level. The ball-playing centre-back from Doncaster has trained with the City first team, and named Stones and Walker as senior players who have helped him along at the CFA, while Foden could be seen walking out with Noble to training at St George's Park on Wednesday.
When discussing his experiences of training with the City first team, he explained how the call-ups give him motivation to take back to his age group.
