Manchester City booked their place in the Champions League knockout stages with two games to spare by beating Young Boys tonight.
With that, City are into the last 16 for an 11th year in a row - and they can secure top spot later this month against Leipzig. Erling Haaland shrugged off injury concerns to score a penalty and a wonderful strike from outside the box, either side of Phil Foden's fine solo effort.
After Young Boys were reduced to ten, it was a walk in the park for City, who maintain their 100 per cent record and stroll into the knockout stages. Manu Akanji's withdrawal with illness and John Stones' half-time substitution will be worth monitoring, though. Reaction to follow.
