Gerard Devlin, a former player and member of Coalisland Na Fianna GAA club, has successfully finished 52 marathons in 52 weeks to raise funds for the club's development. He has raised over £20,000 and received support from other local clubs. Devlin completed his final marathon on the Camino de Santiago in Spain.

A Co Tyrone man has completed a gruelling 52 marathons in 52 weeks to give back to the local GAA club he has been involved in for more than 50 years.

Gerard has now raised more than £20,000 to go towards the development of the club that he says has given him so much over the years. “It’s a great club but anyone from any community will tell you that they get behind it when there’s something going on like that. “Other people have done the same and definitely couldn’t have afforded what they were giving but it was massively appreciated.”
