Jordan Joplin was convicted of murder and theft in the death of Dr. Eric Garcia. Joplin planned to kill Garcia and steal from him. He poisoned Garcia before their scheduled trip to Las Vegas. Joplin transferred money from Garcia's account and sent his belongings to his own home. Joplin lied to investigators after Garcia's death.
Jordan Joplin was convicted in June 2023 on charges of first- and second-degree murder and first-degree theft in the death of 58-year-old Dr. Eric Garcia . Joplin saw Garcia as an easy mark to manipulate and planned to kill him and steal from him. In March 2017, Joplin poisoned Garcia in his home with drugs before they were scheduled to fly to Las Vegas . Joplin returned to his Washington home and Garcia was found dead 10 days later.
Money was transferred to Joplin from Garcia's account and Garcia's belongings were sent to Joplin's home in Washington. Joplin repeatedly lied to investigators after Garcia's death
