A witness said the man was working as a delivery driver when he was attacked
Police were called to Granams Croft in Netherton at around 2.30pm on Sunday, June 16 to reports a group of four or five males had assaulted a man and slashed him across the cheek. The man's money and mobile phone were also stolen during the incident.
He was taken to hospital where he is currently receiving treatment. Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said: “This was a frightening robbery and the victim will require surgery for his injury.
“I would also ask people who live in the area or motorists driving by to check your dashcam or CCTV footage for four or five males fleeing from the scene.”
