Bargain Booze held up by man wanting cigarettes and alcohol as police issue CCTV
A man armed with a stake held up a Bargain Booze store in a bid to steal cash, cigarettes and alcohol.
The man walked into the Spendmore Lane branch in Chorley on Sunday evening where he threatened staff and demanding they hand over goods. The robbery happened at around 8.35pm and saw him demand money, cigarettes and vodka. He eventually left after taking cigarettes and cash from the till. Police are now appealing for help to find the culprit and have issues a CCTV image of a man who officers wish to speak with.A police spokesperson said: "Do you recognise this man? We want to identify him after a shop robbery in Chorley. Around 8.35pm yesterday a man carrying a stake entered Bargain Booze in Spendmore Lane.
"The man threatened a staff member demanding money, cigarettes and vodka. He took £186 from the till and some cigarettes, but did not take any alcohol. If you know the man pictured, call police on 101 quoting log 1240 of November 27."
