Police confirmed the body of a 44-year-old was found after an extensive water rescue search
A body has been recovered from the River Trent in Nottingham after reports a man had entered the water. Emergency services were called to Wilford Toll Bridge, on the Victoria Embankment, at around 2.15pm on Saturday, July 20.
An air ambulance also attended the scene after the call to police yesterday. Riverside Way, in the Meadows, was partially blocked in both directions leading to queuing traffic. Members of the public were told to avoid the area. The fire service - made up of around five fire engines - left the scene at around 4.20pm.
