A man has died after falling from a window in Dundee, prompting a late night emergency response and the closure of a city street
.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing a "bang" as the man fell, and locals rushed to assist, with one even dragging a roadworks sign across the road to close it off to passing motorists. Police rapidly erected a cordon in the street and began an investigation into the death. A local delivery driver, who gave his name as Danny, said he became aware of the incident as he was picking up orders from a nearby takeaway. He told the Record: "We phoned for ambulances and all of that right away, we did everything we could.
Multiple emergency vehicles were parked around the incident, including a specialist ambulance incident response unit. A silver tent was erected in the road on Albert Street to hide the casualty from public view while crime scene photographers and plain clothes detectives examined the scene.
