A man has died in a serious crash on the M4 motorway, causing the closure of the road in both directions near the Cranford Park Interchange. The car involved in the crash has been completely destroyed by fire. Emergency services are on the scene and the M4 is expected to be closed eastbound for several hours.

The M4 is currently closed in both directions near to the Cranford Park Interchange after a car overturned between junctions 2 and 4 at around 11.39am.
‘Officers from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances.’ The M4 has been closed near to the Cranford Park Interchange Drivers are being asked to find an alternative route and to avoid the area where possible. Officers say they are in the process of turning around vehicles trapped in the road closure, and are appealing for anyone who saw the crash to get in touch.
