Man due in court in connection with death of man in city's East End

A man is due to appear in court in connection with the death of a man in Glasgow.

Cops were called to Aberfoyle Street, in Dennistoun, at around 3am yesterday morning after they were made aware of a death.A 55-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to contact police as an investigation into the man's death continues.

Detective Inspector Chris Thomson, of Police Scotland's Major Investigation Team, said:"Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this difficult time and they are being provided with support by specialist officers. "There will likely be a police presence in the area as our investigation continues and I would like to ask anyone who can assist with our enquiries to please contact Police

by calling 101, quoting incident number 0260 of December 20, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
