Police have launched a murder inquiry after a man was stabbed to death in the Toxteth area of Liverpool.
Officers were called to Bentley Road at about 1.20pm on Thursday, after getting reports that a man in his 20s had been stabbed in the neck.The force described it as an"appalling crime" that happened in"broad daylight".AdvertisementForensics officers at work following the fatal stabbing. "We're currently in the very early stages of the investigation, however it is vital that anyone with information that could assist our enquiries gets in touch," said Detective Inspector Phil Mahon.
