A 57-year-old man is in critical condition after an explosion leveled a house in Yeadon, Leeds, on Wednesday night. Emergency services responded to the blast, which was heard and felt by nearby residents, leaving debris scattered across the street.
Police, paramedics and fire crews rushed to the explosion at a house in Yeadon just after 10.30pm on Wednesday.

'We're just a street away, house is warm and kettle were there - what more could you do? I sent the lady on with pyjamas and a dressing gown.' Nearby resident Aimee Olivia, 20, told the Telegraph&Argus: 'I heard the explosion, it was a massive bang that shook my whole house and it happened at the top of my street.She added that her neighbours had reported having doorbell footage of the explosion 'blowing their windows in'.
