A man has been left heartbroken after his beloved dog was mauled to death on a walk by German Shepherds. Ian Fields, 50, paid tribute to his Chihuahua, Luna, after the fatal attack, reports Grimsby Live.
He explained: "We were out walking Luna and our other dog, Stella, along Frederick Ward Way near the river. I was just putting something in the bin when I heard the pitter patter of footsteps and turned to see these three German Shepherds. "It all happened so quickly too, and as soon as I got her out I wrapped her in a towel and took her to my mum's which was only five minutes away. Having seen what had happened though, I knew it was bad.
"I just remember shouting at her to get her dog under control." Following the horrific incident, the dog owner then took Luna straight to the Blue Cross Animal Hospital.
