A man is in the hospital after suffering injuries from a hammer attack during an aggravated burglary in South Belfast. Police are seeking information about the incident which occurred on Sunday evening.

A man is hospitalized after being attacked with a hammer during an aggravated burglary over the weekend. Detectives are urging the public for information following the incident in South Belfast on Sunday, January 19th. According to reports, around 8:25 p.m. last night, officers received a call about a group of men who entered a property on Coolfin Street. PSNI Detective Sergeant McCartan stated, 'The men threatened the resident and demanded money before one of them assaulted him with a hammer.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries to his head and body. \I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or anyone with CCTV or other footage that could be helpful to the investigation, to contact detectives at 101, referencing number 1411 19/01/25.
