A man has been airlifted to Royal Brisbane Hospital on Saturday following reports he was hit by a car a day earlier.

Emergency services were called to Beach Street, Woolgoolga near Coffs Harbour at about 7.20pm following reports a pedestrian was struck.

A crime scene was established as officers investigated the circumstances of how the incident occurred.
