A grand jury indicted a 39-year-old man for the murders of three women who were found dead under suspicious circumstances last year.
across three months in 2023. Jesse Calhoun was initially identified by multiple agencies as a suspect in four of the deaths during the investigation. He was arrested on a parole violation on June 6, 2023.
On Friday the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office announced Calhoun is facing charges related to the deaths of Charity Lynn Perry, 24, Bridget Leanne Webster, 31, and Joanna Speaks, 32. Smith was first reported missing in December of last year and was found deceased on February 19. Perry was found dead in April near Ainsworth State Park. Webster's body was found later in April near Mill Creek in Polk County.Following the indictment, members of the Multnomah County DA’s Office and the investigation team notified the families of the charges.

Calhoun remains in custody at Snake River Correctional Institution at this time and is expected to be transferred to the custody of Multnomah County for arraignment on the indicted charges.
