A 28-year-old man was jailed for eight months after being found with a knife in his waistband at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre. Hospital staff reported the incident to police, who arrested him. The man admitted the offence of possession of a knife in a public place.
A man has been jailed after turning up to Nottingham's A&E department with a knife in his waistband. Adam Watson carried the blade into the Queen's Medical Centre on Saturday, January 18.
The 28-year-old, of Richardson Close, Nottingham, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 20 where he admitted the offence and was jailed for eight months. Sergeant Natham Phipps, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We work closely with hospital teams and I’d like to thank the staff on duty at QMC on Saturday who alerted us that this man was in possession of a knife.
