A man who got kicked out of a pub went on to assault a cop by pushing him into a car.
Declan Hamilton, 24, also made a homophobic remark to the officer after they were called by staff at a Shettleston Road bar.
The Springburn man appeared in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday after previously admitting to uttering an offensive remark and pushing the cop."A man working as bar staff recognised the group the accused was with as being involved in an earlier incident, which resulted in them being barred.“When instructing the males to leave, they became aggressive. Due to the behaviour of the group, she contacted police. Police were tasked to attend at the bar.
“Two officers took hold of the accused in order to secure his arrest. The accused was conveyed to London Road police office and processed.Hamilton’s lawyer told the court: “This all started because of an incident in the pub which happened due to something the day before. He was not involved.Sheriff Allan Findlay ordered Hamilton to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
