Cops are trying to find the thieves
The 44-year-old victim was approached by two males in blue surgical masks on Wednesday evening at around 11.45pm.The incident happened near in the lower area of Murdieston Dam, near Thom Street in Greenock.The first is described as white, late teens to early 20s, around 5ft 11in tall and of slim build.
He was wearing a blue surgical mask, a dark hooded zipped top with stripes on the arm and white trainers. The second was white and a few inches shorter than the first man and of slim build, with hair swept back off his forehead.Both men spoke with a local accent. Detective Inspector Neil Martin said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.
“Despite this happening late in the day, we know this is an area frequented by dog walkers and others at all times and I would urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or seen the two men approaching the victim to get in touch.
