Jeff Arundell has been jailed on five counts of fraud A former contestant on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire was jailed after scamming friends and family out of millions through fraudulent investments. Two decades after his short-lived run on the popular ITV gameshow, Jeff Arundell has been convicted of multiple offences and jailed for six and a half years.

He didn’t know an anaconda was a snake so used his 50/50 lifeline Arundell’s latest conviction was in relation to the £86,000 he took from his friends and family, resulting in three counts of fraud by false representation and one of money laundering at Bristol Crown Court on Monday, October 30. He was found not guilty on a fourth count of fraud by false representation which related to the rest of the money with an application under the Proceeds of Crime Act in place to re-coup the cash.
