The former Liverpool player and England star was forced to return home from the World Cup camp
A burglar targeted a former Liverpool player and stole more then £1m worth of property across 33 burglaries. Emiliano Krosi, 24, was accused of carrying out 33 burglaries on December 3, 2022 - a string of raids that included former Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling. Sterling was forced to fly home from the Qatar World Cup at the time. An estimated £300,000 of designer property was taken, while ten of Sterling’s Rolex watches were taken, the Mirror reports .
Krosi was extremely methodical and organised in his targeting of homes, with the sole aim to make as much money as possible off the back of other people. “Through collaborative working with colleagues in other forces including Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire and The Metropolitan Police Service, we were able to apprehend Krosi and bring the case to court. We hope this sentence gives the victims some form of closure.” Krosi was already on bail after being caught with cocaine and cannabis on a train.
