Police were called to Dundee Street, Lancaster, at 1.10pm
A road was closed for several hours after emergency services rushed to an incident in Lancaster this afternoon .
Police and ambulance workers could be seen in attendance shortly after 1pm. A large crane could also be seen on the road, which had been shut off to all traffic. It has now been confirmed a man has been taken to hospital with serious neck injuries. His condition is now believed to be stable.According to eyewitnesses, the police operation centred around a residential property on Dundee Street. Emergency services began to leave the scene from 3pm.
A Lancashire Constabulary spokesperson said: "We were called to Dundee Street, Lancaster, at 1.10pm today to reports a man had been found with injuries to his neck. "He has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable. We are not looking for anybody else in relation to this incident."
