A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a car and a cyclist on a key road connecting Lostock Hall and Bamber Bridge with Leyland.Police were called to Wigan Road at 4.50pm on Saturday to reports of a collision. A man in his 40s was taken to hospital, though police have confirmed they do not believe the injuries will are life-threatening.
