Merseyside Police confirmed one of two victims 'suffered a life changing injury' and a man was arrested as part of the investigation
A man's nose was reportedly bitten off after a fight broke out at a Wirral golf club. Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to Leasowe Golf Course in the early hours of Sunday morning . A spokesperson for the force told the ECHO officers arrived at the golf course, on Leasowe Road , at around 1.10am following reports of two men being assaulted. The force confirmed two men in their 60s sustained injuries - one of which was a serious facial injury.
' Merseyside Police said following enquiries a 45-year-old man from Meols was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault with intent and section 39 assault . He has been conditionally bailed pending further investigation. Merseyside Police Detective Inspector Phil Ryan said: 'This incident will have undoubtedly been shocking to see and we are keen to speak to any witnesses who have yet to come forward.
