John Ward 'saw red' when his mum was 'dragged out' by security staff

A dispute between two families took a violent turn at a busy caravan park. Fun turned into fear while dozens of people were in the dining area at Haggerston Castle Holiday Park. John Ward was not involved in the initial trouble but 'saw red' when watching his mum being 'dragged out' by security staff. During a mass disturbance involving around 20 people, he threw a punch, tried to smash a glass and did smash a gin glass.

Ward was then seen to pick up a bottle and try to smash it on a table before running forward into an adjacent room where his mother had been taken, Chronicle Live reports . He was disarmed by a security guard but then went back into the dining area and picked up a gin glass, which he smashed on a table. He was then put into a bear hug by a security guard and was told to drop the glass, which he did. Ward was seen to punch someone in the face at one point.
