A Victorian man was sentenced to three years behind bars after he was arrested for more than 50 child abuse materials and a video of bestiality, involving himself.

The Australian Federal Police on Wednesday revealed a 44-year-old man has been jailed for three years and three months over nine offences.

A 44-year-old Victorian man has been jailed for three years and three months over offences relating to child abuse and bestiality. The 44-year-old man was charged with one count of bestiality and six counts of using a carriage service to transmit child abuse material. Leading Senior Constable Christopher Spillane said the sentencing should serve as a “warning” to other offenders.

Senior Constable Spillane said authorities need the community’s help to identify victims and perpetrators.
