The alleged attack happened minutes after England were knocked out of the World Cup.
A man suffered a broken jaw which required surgery after he was punched several times at a pub in Leeds on the night England was knocked out of the World Cup.
England lost to France in a Quarter Final clash played in Qatar on Saturday, December 10, last year. Several people converged at various pubs across Leeds to watch the game. And it was at The Box, in Otley Road, Headingley, where the 22-year-old victim was attacked and punched repeatedly. The attack happened sometime between 9pm and 9.30pm, minutes after the final whistle.Detectives investigating the attack have now released three images of people they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
"The victim, a 22-year-old man, suffered a broken jaw and needed surgery after being repeatedly punched in the incident that occurred between 9pm and 9.30pm at The Box, in Otley Road, Headingley, during England’s game against France on Saturday, December 10. "The incident is being treated as Section 18 grievous bodily harm and is being investigated by Leeds District CID. Anyone who recognises any of the three males or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact DC 1126 Carroll quoting reference 13220687840."
