Enquiries are ongoing to find the driver
Merseyside Police were called to Naylors Road, near the junction of Linkfield Close in Belle Vale, at around 9.21pm on Tuesday, October 31, following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a man in his 60s had been hit by a vehicle.
Chief Inspector Tom Welch said: “We are in the very early stages of an investigation and would appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward. This was a serious collision that has left a pedestrian in hospital with a serious head injury and we are currently trying to identify and locate the driver of the vehicle involved.
Police blocked off Naylors Road in both directions with cones as emergency services worked at the scene.
