A man is dead following a shootout in a Pueblo fast food parking lot Wednesday night.
Officers found what they believed to be the suspect’s vehicle in the parking lot of a Popeyes in the 1500 block of West Highway 50, near the Pueblo County Club, according to the statement.
Pueblo officers shot at and killed the suspect, who will be identified by the Pueblo County Coroner. No officers were injured in the incident.The shooting is under investigation by the 10th Judicial District’s Critical Incident Response Team, led by the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.
