A man has been shot outside a venue in Salford. Detectives investigating the shooting in the early hours of this morning are appealing for witnesses.
GMP say that at around 2.30am, the victim went outside the venue and was shot with what has now been confirmed to be a firearm. The victims’ injuries are not thought to be life threatening at this stage.READ MORE: Today's top Manchester Evening News stories Detective Sergeant Karl Perry, of GMP’s Salford District, said: “Firstly, we would like to reassure the public that the victim of this incident is being taken care of by medical professionals and we are working with them to determine further details regarding this morning’s incident.
"This is being treated as an isolated incident and there are a number of extra uniformed patrols in place around the local community and they will remain there over the coming days to provide visible reassurance. If you need any reassurance or wish to speak to one of our officers, they will be on hand to support you.
