Ashley Henry, aged 37, of Hogarth Street, has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place. He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 18.
Detective Sergeant James Hirst, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We always respond quickly to reports of violent incidents like this and officers provided vital first aid to the victim at the scene before he was taken to hospital. Response teams also worked rapidly to arrest a suspect and recover the suspected weapon.
