A man in his 20s was stabbed in the car park of a Morrisons supermarket in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the incident occurred at around 10.35pm on Monday, February 3rd. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Three individuals, two 18-year-old men and another 18-year-old, have been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in a supermarket car park in a Nottinghamshire town. Officers were called to the car park of Morrisons on King's Road, Newark , at around 10.35pm on Monday, February 3, after paramedics reported a man had suffered a stab wound. The victim, a man in his 20s, had been assaulted in the car park of the supermarket and was then taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Nottinghamshire Police said.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the investigation. Two 18-year-old men were detained on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent. While a third 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three remain in police custody. Detective Inspector James Oakton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: 'We have a team of detectives working hard to progress this investigation. Officers worked quickly and efficiently overnight to detain three suspects but we are also asking for the public's help. 'This incident took place in a supermarket car park and, despite the time of day, we believe there could have been witnesses. Likewise there may be people who have recorded dashcam or other footage which could assist officers with their inquiries.'
