BACOLOD CITY – A 28-year-old man stabbed his 59-year-old drunken father to death inside their house in Barangay III Poblacion, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, September 5.

BACOLOD CITY – A 28-year-old man stabbed his 59-year-old drunken father to death inside their house in Barangay III Poblacion, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, September 5.Police Capt. Arturo Margallo, deputy chief of the Himamaylan City Police Station, said Fernando allegedly disturbed his sleeping son Fernando Jr. when he arrived home, resulting in a heated argument and a fistfight.

The suspect stabbed his father with a knife. The victim sustained a stab wound in his left armpit and was declared dead in a hospital. The suspect was released from jail around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, after his family decided not to press charges against him.
