A man and a woman have been arrested after a man was taken to hospital with head injuries following an assault in South Belfast .
The woman arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, she has since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries to take place.Inspector Carey said: “Shortly before 3pm it was reported that a man had been injured following an altercation involving a number of people in the Botanic Avenue area. Officers attended and arrested two people.
“A 37-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, she has since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries to take place. A third man was taken to hospital for treatment for an injury to his head.
