Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that Stuart Taylor warned the frightened woman he would kill himself if she didn't take him back.
A man turned up at his ex-partner's Hamilton home despite a non-harassment order and bail conditions that were supposed to keep him away from her.

"He entered the property and an argument began. He refused to leave and made comments such as 'If you don't take me back I'm going to kill myself'."She texted her friend who returned and the the two women left the flat, leaving Taylor behind. He then sent text messages on the same theme of self-harm before police officers arrived and arrested him."
She added: "He didn't deal well with the break-up, but now he has no intention of continuing the relationship."
