More Premier League matches will be shown live under the new TV deal bringing greater financial rewards for the leading top-flight clubs
Manchester United and Man City supporters are well-versed in seeing their sides chosen for live TV matches.
It was announced this week that the Premier League will make around 270 matches available for live broadcast, an increase of 70, with a new four-year contract being sought. Under the new-look deal, every Sunday 2pm kick-off will be shown live, including those matches moved due to European commitments.ALSO READ: 'As always' - Man City star Grealish sends message to United's Maguire
It means that on any given weekend there will be at least five matches shown live but that number could be swelled by extra Sunday games after Europa League fixtures. City and United are both in the Champions League this season but Erik ten Hag's side were in the second tier competition last term and should they or the Blues be in the Europa League for the 2025-26 campaign then they would see more games shown live on TV.
