Man United coach Darren Fletcher was shown on TV remonstrating with referee Samuel Barrott and his officials at the end of the first half against Brentford
Manchester United coach Darren Fletcher could reportedly be facing a charge from the FA after he berated match officials at half-time in the Old Trafford tunnel. Referee Samuel Barrott had ordered United defender Matthijs de Ligt to leave the pitch in first-half added time to receive treatment for a persistent head wound.
Tunnel footage revealed Fletcher arguing with fourth official Gavin Ward as Ward entered the tunnel at half-time, followed by 31-year-old Barrott and his assistants. Former United midfielder Fletcher, whose son Jack was among Saturday's substitutes for the home team, now anxiously waits to see if the incident is included in Barrott's match report.
