Manchester United have confirmed that Sofyan Amrabat will wear the No.4 shirt for the duration of his loan spell from Italian outfit Fiorentina.
The 27-year-old midfielder arrived from the Serie A club on deadline day after completing a season-long switch to Old Trafford. Amrabat has not worn No.4 previously for his former clubs. For his national side, though, Amrabat has worn the No.4 since 2019 and his links to the squad number have been present throghout his domestic career. United have submitted their squad to UEFA for the start of the group stages later this month and Jadon Sancho is included, despite taking his grievances with manager Erik ten Hag public via social media. Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund are also included in the squad, as are deadline day arrivals Altay Bayindir, Jonny Evans, Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat.
