Sporting CP are already putting in contingency plans for losing manager Ruben Amorim, according to reports. The Portuguese boss has agreed a deal with Manchester United over replacing Erik ten Hag.
United themselves are preparing to play as Ruud van Nistelrooy takes charge as interim head coach for Wednesday's Carabao Cup fourth-round tie with Leicester City. The result left Ten Hag in 14th with only three league wins out of nine and one in the past eight from all competitions. It follows on from United's worst Premier League season ever in 2023/24.
