Manchester United are determined to get a deal over the line for Manuel Ugarte with negotiations thought to be at the final stages
Manchester United have received a new transfer boost after Manuel Ugarte was left out of Paris Saint-Germain squad for this weekend's match.
The transfer saga has gone on for some time as the two clubs were some way apart in their valuation during talks earlier in the window but a breakthrough has been made. Ugarte has been omitted from PSG's clash against Montpellier, having also been left out of Luis Enrique's squad for their opening fixture of the Ligue 1 campaign last weekend.
A breakthrough in negotiations was recently found between, with PSG having have offered United the option to sign the midfielder on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy. If a loan deal for Ugarte comes to fruition, it would benefit United's Profit and Sustainability calculations as any outlay for a permanent deal would come after the Premier League's current financial years end on June 30.
After welcoming Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, Ugarte would become the fifth signing of the summer window. The Reds have so far spent £156million on players, with a net spend in excess of £80m.
