Sir Jim Ratcliffe has overseen two big name signings this summer in the form of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro while two more defensive recruits are also set to join United this week
United legend Teddy Sheringham has slammed Sir Jim Ratcliffe claiming he doesn't see any "ambition" coming from the co-owner when it comes to transfers.
Sheringham, who was instrumental in United's iconic treble winning season in 1999, also claimed that Ratcliffe's hands-on approach with United "doesn't mean anything". The former striker didn't hold back as he also declared that there are no "guarantees" any of United's new recruits will turn out to be a good fit for Erik ten Hag's side.
"It’s just a new man putting money into the football club. Bringing in a new CEO and football executives won’t improve the players or the manager. I can’t see the new owners showing their ambition by bringing in a player that is going to have a transformative effect on the football club," "The business that United have concluded so far isn’t going to shift the needle. Yoro and Zirkzee are both young guys who will need time to adapt to the demands of Premier League football. There are no guarantees that they will be good signings - you don’t know what you will get from them," Sheringham said.
