Manchester United's summer transfer window may have ended but they are still looking at players who could be signed in January
Manchester United will reportedly face competition from Liverpool for the signing of Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite in the future.
With the 22-year-old still in the Everton squad, it is likely United will look to come back in for the defender particularly seen as though Sean Dyche's side look set for another difficult season. Elsewhere, Fabrizio Romano has claimed on the Here We Go Podcast that Ten Hag and those directly above him in the recruitment team, were the ones to veto a late move for Raheem Sterling. MEN Sport understands the Reds entered exploratory talks with Chelsea about the winger as they looked to get Jadon Sancho off the books.
Hence why United did not sign the ex-Manchester City man and why Sancho only signed for the Blues on a loan with obligation to buy. This was because there was no guarantee Sterling would leave. Eventually the winger would join Arsenal at the eleventh hour on loan.
