England manager Gareth Southgate has revealed Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw is ahead of schedule and could feature tonight in the Euro 2024 opener against Serbia.
This would, of course, backfire and Shaw would sit out the remainder of the domestic season. Reflecting on the injury, the 28-year-old admitted that there was plenty of blame to be passed around. "It's kind of everyone's fault. Partly my fault, partly the medical staff. I think everyone would admit that."
