HullThe 35-year-old will replace Paul McShane in the development role, which was conceived by academy head Nick Cox to give players in-game coaching by an experienced team-mate. Cox felt McShane, who has since moved solely into coaching, brought major value to the team and wanted a replacement.
Huddlestone is expected to play fewer matches than the five that McShane featured in last season, with the greater focus being on helping with standards in training.
