Man United look set to sign Leny Yoro as their rebuild under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos gathers pace this summer
Manchester United are set to confirm the arrival of talented French centre-back Leny Yoro from Lille.
United's plan has been to sign up to three new centre-backs this summer after the departure of Raphael Varane and Willy Kambwala. But there is one other area of concern in Erik ten Hag's squad which must be addressed if they are to challenge for the game's biggest trophies again.
And whilst talented academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo has taken plenty of concern away from a long-standing issue in United's squad, he cannot do it all on his own. Casemiro was initially a success in his first season at the club after arriving from Real Madrid but the Brazilian struggled badly in 2023/24 and has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
However, United may have one advantage, which could play into their hands if they wish to pursue a deal with Neves. The Portuguese star has the same agent as Yoro, Jorge Mendes, who reportedly held a meeting with United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe according to our colleagues at the Mirror.
