Former striker Louis Saha has welcomed the prospect of United signing Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee. United have reached an agreement with the Italian club to sign the 23-year-old and he is set to undergo a medical on Friday. Should everything go according to plan, he will become the club's first signing of the summer. On the prospect of Zirkzee being added to Erik ten Hag's squad, Saha told Gambling Zone: "Joshua Zirkzee has an unpredictability that Manchester United need.
He would provide something different to Rasmus Hojlund who needs help in his game, he hasn't impressed me yet. Zirkzee can also provide competition and a new option for United as a target man. With Hojlund, you sense that there is a bit of frustration but there have been glimpses of his ability and his flair inside the box, it looks like sometimes he is working too hard which leaves him out of breath and unable to get far enough away from defenders.
