United are on the brink of completing their first signing of the January transfer window with Patrick Dorgu set to arrive in a €35 million deal from Lecce.
Geovany Quenda quickly established himself as a key part of Ruben Amorim’s system at Sporting Quenda initially started out at Benfica’s academy before he joined Sporting at the age of 13 in 2019. The 17-year-old signed his first professional contract with Sporting in August 2023 and was given his first-team debut by Amorim a year later. Quenda has established himself as a key figure in Amorim’s side at right wing-back and would be likely to take up that position at United.
